Fabric beads are an original accessory for a dress or sundress. Having made such beads with your own hands, you can be sure of the uniqueness of the jewelry, which will easily help to complement the image and make it brighter.
It is necessary
- - red and pink fabric;
- - threads to match fabrics;
- - scissors;
- - needle;
- - beads, rhinestones or beads (for decoration);
- - synthetic winterizer;
- - sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all materials and tools for making fabric beads.
Step 2
First of all, make a tourniquet - the base for the beads. From fabrics of pink and red color, cut two strips four meters long and one centimeter wide (it is worth using materials that have the same color on the front and back sides, as well as non-loose edges). Place a strip of fabric in front of you vertically, lay the strip of fabric horizontally on it exactly in the middle. It is worth noting that for the convenience of weaving the plait, you can collect the cut strips into balls by rolling up two from each segment.
Step 3
Next, put the upper edge of the tape on the segment on the right, and the bottom - on the segment on the left.
Step 4
Take the ribbon on the right and start weaving: first place it on the nearest lower ribbon, then pass it under the second lower ribbon. Next, take the tape on the left, put it on the first top tape, then pass it under the second top one. As a result, you should have a structure that is shown in the picture.
Step 5
Pull all four balls in opposite directions at the same time to tighten the structure into a knot.
Step 6
In the same way, continue to braid until you run out of fabric ribbons.
Step 7
From the red fabric, cut four circles with a diameter of five centimeters and four circles with a diameter of three centimeters, from pink - six circles with a diameter of five centimeters and four to three centimeters. For example, glasses can be used as a template.
Step 8
From the obtained blanks, make pairs, connect them with the front side to each other, sew carefully, stepping back from the edge by 0.5 cm, leaving a small gap intact. Turn out the blanks, fill them with padding polyester to such a state that you get convex "cakes". Sew the gap with a blind stitch.
Step 9
Take a needle with a contrasting color of thread (orange is ideal) and one rounded blank. Carefully pierce the middle of the workpiece with a needle, go around the part and again pierce the workpiece into the middle, but on the other side. Tighten the thread slightly. After that, make seven more stitches in the same way, trying to make the distance between them the same. As a result, you should get a detail in the form of a flower. Make the rest of the flowers in the same way.
Step 10
In the middle of each flower, glue or sew in a rhinestone or bead. Sew these flowers together by the edges, placing them at your discretion, and then fasten them with a previously made tourniquet.
