Chrysanthemum is a gorgeous flower, in the East it is a symbol of determination and enjoyment of life. According to a beautiful legend, the chrysanthemum appeared thanks to solar sparks that fell to the Earth and turned into beautiful flowers. You can create this beauty with your own hands by making a chrysanthemum from beads.
Prepare the beads. For weaving chrysanthemums, yellow, white, pink beads are suitable. Choose 2 shades of the same color, so the flower will turn out much more spectacular. It can be a combination of lemon and dark yellow, white and pink, light pink and lilac.
In addition, you will need:
- green beads for leaves;
- wire for beading;
- green floss threads.
Weaving bud
For a flower, you need to make about 10 tiers of petals. Start by braiding the center of the chrysanthemum. Cut a piece of wire 40 cm long. String on it 4 light-colored beads, 8 dark beads and 4 more light-colored beads. Place them in the center of the wire, bend them with a loop and pass one end of the wire through the last bead. Make 2-3 turns of wire under the petal.
Then cast on one end the same number of beads as for the first petal. Bend it with a loop and make a couple of turns under the part. In the same way, weave 5-6 petals of the first tier for the chrysanthemum.
Weave the second and third tiers of petals in the same way, but unlike the first, increase the number of beads in the petals. In the second tier, cast on 30 beads for each detail, and in the third - 36. You can also increase the number of petal loops.
As the number of beads increases, it will be necessary to cut a longer piece of wire accordingly. For the second tier - 60 cm, and for the third - about 80.
Weave the following petals using needle technique. Cut 4 pieces of wire, each 60 cm long. String 20 beads, of which 10 are lighter and 10 are darker. Spread the beads over the center of the wire. Holding the outermost dark bead with your hand, pass the second end of the wire through all the other beads in the row. This is how the first needle petal turned out. Do the second and subsequent ones in the same way at both ends of the wire. The more such petals there are in this tier, the more magnificent the chrysanthemum will turn out. In total, you need to make 4 such tiers.
Weave the next 3 tiers also using the needle technique, but in them you need to increase the length of the petals. To do this, string 23 beads of two shades each.
Chrysanthemum leaf weaving
The leaves, woven using the parallel weaving technique, look very impressive, especially since this way they can be given almost any shape. Cut a wire 100 cm long and start braiding according to the following pattern. In the first row, dial 1 bead, in the 2nd and 3rd - 2 each, in the 4th and 5th - 3 beads each, in the 6th - 4, in the 7th and 8th - 5 pieces each.
Next, form the carved edges of the sheet. String 3 beads on one of the edges, pass the tip of the wire through 2 beads, pull the wire. Weave 3 rows of 8 beads each, then again make a carved edge out of three beads and continue to weave rows using the parallel weaving technique, 9 beads each. Then make a ledge again, but reduce the number of beads in the row. Twist the wire under this part of the sheet, making a couple of turns.
Weave the second side of the part in the same way, but in a mirror image, that is, make a carved edge on the opposite side of the leaf. Weave 2 or 3 similar pieces.
Chrysanthemum assembly
Take the first 3 tiers of the petal loops bud. Insert them into each other so that the smallest is inside. Then twist all the ends of the wire under the bud and straighten the petals.
Then put on 4 tiers of needle-woven petals. Place each subsequent tier so that the petal is between the details of the previous one. Finish assembling the flower with the three largest pieces. Twist the wire to the end, forming the stalk of the chrysanthemum. Bend the petals, trying to give the flower a natural shape.
Attach a leaf to the stem and twist the wire. At some distance from the first, place the second part and also twist the wire. Wrap the stem with green floss.
