The Japanese associate the blossoming sakura with the transience and fragility of life, because its flowering lasts only a few days. This beauty can be embodied with the help of small beads - beads, creating a delicate and charming composition.
What is needed to make sakura
When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the tree has almost no foliage, and its flowers are pink and white, so choose beads in several shades in this color scheme to make them look more realistic. You will also need:
- some green beads;
- wire;
- floss threads;
- pliers;
- flower pot;
- gypsum;
- PVA glue;
- dark brown gouache;
- brush;
- clear nail polish.
Beads prepared for weaving sakura, mix and pour in a saucer; when making flowers, there is no need to clearly alternate beads of different shades. Cut a wire about 70 cm long. At a distance of 15 cm from one of the edges, make a small loop-limiter, so you can collect a large number of beads, and it will not fly off the wire, which will undoubtedly increase the speed of work.
How to weave sakura
String beads of different shades (about 50 pieces) onto the wire. Count 5 beads, fold them in a loop and twist a wire under them. Step back 0.5 cm, again count 5 beads and twist the wire under them. Make 10 of these petals. Then fold the piece in half and twist the wire to form a twig. Weave 53 similar sakura branches.
Fold 6 twigs together and twist the wire to create a fuller branch. There should be 9 blanks in total.
Now make a main branch by twisting 3 large pieces. Next, start forming the sakura tree. Take one main branch and attach the second to it. Twist the wire and, placing it slightly lower, attach the last part. Also twist the barrel tightly.
Wrap the wire with floss, make the turns as close to each other as possible. Periodically coat them with PVA glue. After the glue dries, paint the barrel with a dark brown gouache. To make the tree look more impressive, varnish it. This should be done when the paint is completely dry. Set the beaded sakura aside and prepare the base for the tree.
Dilute the plaster with water. The mass should turn out without lumps, the consistency of thick porridge. Pour the plaster of Paris into the planter immediately without letting it set. Make a loop at the bottom of the tree and place it in the pot. Let the plaster harden for 24 hours.
Decorate the pot. Grease the plaster surface with PVA glue and sprinkle with green beads. Spread out the cherry blossoms.
