According to its plot "Limbo" (in the original, the film is called not limbo, but Haunter) deserves the title of an unusual film of the year. For those who have watched The Others, it will be interesting to know that the plot of Limba begins where the movie ended.
However, the title of the film initially indicates what the plot is about. Indeed, in Catholicism "limb" is called the place of stay of souls who did not get to heaven, which does not coincide with hell, or purgatory.
The action takes place in a strange house with a dark past. The house is surrounded by dense fog, which is a kind of fence from the real world. No matter how much the heroes of the film want to escape from the cursed place, the road still leads them back to the ill-fated dwelling.
The whole plot is based on the life of the girl Lisa, who, together with her family, are stuck in time. But besides her, no one notices this. Her whole life consists in the endless repetition of the same day, which fell on the eve of her 16th birthday. The same food, the same actions, the same TV shows. But one day, one such day, Lisa begins to hear voices and discovers a locked secret door. After such a find, the heroine begins her own investigation, which leads her to completely unexpected mystical consequences.
Pros and cons of the movie "Limb"
It is worth noting that the plot is thought out to the smallest detail and keeps the viewer completely in the dark as to how the events will develop. However, viewers who expect a lot of horror, blood and entertainment from this motion picture should be disappointed. There is nothing like this in the movie "Limb". And because of the overlap of layers of reality, as in the movie "Silent Hill", many people do not like this movie.
The main disadvantages in the film are:
- lack of special effects;
- poor quality "picture";
- flaws with sound.
The sound quality is perfect in places, but sometimes it becomes unintelligible with interference.
In short, this is a low-budget film.
