Step 1
Start by gradually mastering the ability to play the guitar. Take your time to jump to complex songs and melodies. Get to know the notes, master the rules of putting the fingers. At first glance, this seems insignificant: in fact, in order to memorize chords, muscle memory is also useful to you, and its most effective work is possible only with competent fingers.
Step 2
Accustom yourself to chords gradually. Any tutorial presents the material consistently. On the first pages, you will find the simplest songs, consisting of one, two, or three chords and then ascending. And the chords themselves begin with the simplest ones, consisting of three parts. Do not neglect these exercises, even if it seems to you that "There was a birch tree in the field" - this is not your repertoire. If you pay attention to practicing the performance of this song, in the future it will be easier for you to learn the most difficult melodies of your favorite performers.
Step 3
Use supporting materials. Draw chords on cards and carry them with you. On the back, draw how the fingers should be positioned on the strings. Arrange for yourself constant exams: looking at one side of the card, try to answer what is on the other.

Ask your loved ones to help you. Play the chords of their choice. Do not be afraid of mistakes: they only bring you closer to your goal.

Train every day. Otherwise, everything you learn today will disappear from your head tomorrow. Only regular practice will allow you to learn how to memorize chords. Moreover, if you understand that for some reason you cannot allocate an hour for classes, for example, on Monday, or you cannot sit at the guitar every Wednesday, it is better to immediately draw up a class schedule that skips these days. Not only the frequency of classes is important, but also their fixation in time.
