Instructions

Step 1

So, all the techniques for memorizing a deck of cards, one way or another, come down to one thing - associations. That is, first you need to divide the deck into suits: spades, clubs, diamonds and hearts. Then you assign a letter code to each suit. It looks like this: spades - P, clubs - T, diamonds - B and hearts - C. Then each card must be matched with its own number and the corresponding letter of the alphabet. For example, a two of hearts would look like CHA, where CH is the suit and A is the first letter of the alphabet.

Step 2

Thus, when you have marked all the cards that have a numerical value (from 2 to 10), start moving on to the associations. For example, the same deuce of worms, which is defined as CHA, can become "Black Watermelon". Do this operation with all cards in the deck that have a numerical value, and then go to the "pictures".

Step 3

All pictures already have their own letter: jack - B, queen - D, king - K. Therefore, memorizing them is a little easier. Based on the above, it turns out that, for example, the queen of clubs will be designated TD. Experts suggest associating the received letter code with celebrities. For example, the jack of hearts - CHV, can become Valery Chkalov.

Step 4

The next stage is training. Deal yourself a few cards from the deck and remember all the values assigned to them. If something does not work out or there is some difficulty in memorizing something, then the meaning that causes difficulty is better to change.

Step 5

Try not to spend more than ten seconds memorizing each value. At first it will be quite difficult, but as practice shows, with regular training, the result is achieved quite quickly.

Step 6

Then you should bind each received character to a place or thing familiar to you. For example, absolutely everyone, at home, has something that can be associated with an airplane: a fan (propeller), a toy model, etc. Considering that the jack of hearts was correlated with Valery Chkalov, you will receive the following logical chain (associative series): Chkalov-plane-propeller-fan. After doing similar manipulations with the entire deck and practicing, you will not have problems remembering the location of the cards in the deck.
