Bead embroidery is always in fashion. Beaded flowers can decorate your clothes, bag, mobile phone case, photo album cover or become an original addition to the interior as a wall panel.
It is necessary
- - multi-colored beads;
- - scissors;
- - a needle for beads;
- - the basis for embroidery;
- - floss threads or transparent synthetic thread;
- - a diagram or pattern of embroidery.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the design of your future embroidery. If you are planning to create a big picture, you will need a detailed diagram, which can be found on specialized sites or in craft magazines. If you want to decorate your bag, jeans or cell phone case, simple schematic images of flowers that you can design yourself are suitable for you. Before starting work, be sure to calculate the size of the embroidery and the number of colors used in it.
Step 2
Purchase at a craft store or find beads in your home stock of the correct color and size. For embroidery of paintings, it is advisable to purchase high-quality Czech or Japanese-made beads. Individual grains of Chinese beads may not match in size and will not fit well on the fabric. Also stock up on floss of the appropriate color or transparent synthetic thread. It is best to take cotton canvas or counted linen as the basis for the beaded panel.
Step 3
Embroider flowers from the center. If you are working on a large painting, then it is better to start from the top, gradually going down. Remember that large beadwork is not hooped. They are either tucked into the frame of a special machine, or they are dispensed with without additional fixation of the fabric.
Step 4
Sew each grain separately, making a small diagonal stitch if you are embroidering with a pattern. In small works, beads can be attached in rows. To do this, type up to a dozen grains on the needle, make a long stitch, and then fix the chain with several seams on top.
Step 5
Experiment with materials. Mixed techniques can be used in beaded needlework. Quite often, beads are used to decorate paintings embroidered with a cross or satin stitch. It is also used in decorative panels with ribbons, sequins or rhinestones.
