The icon embroidered with beads has its own extraordinary beauty. To make the process pleasant, there are some subtleties of embroidery.

Instructions
Step 1
Select the required materials.
Czech beads are the most suitable for embroidery. It is of higher quality, calibrated, in contrast to the Chinese one. Sold either by weight or in sachets. The number of beads by color is usually indicated on the drawing applied to the fabric. Usually, when embroidering an icon, 10 - 16 colors of beads are required.
The pattern on the fabric should be clear and free from streaks. It is good when the fabric is duplicated on the non-woven fabric.
Step 2
Before starting work, you can ask for blessings from the priest in the church or turn to the Almighty in prayer. Since you are embroidering not just a picture, but an icon.
Step 3
It is better to use a thread reinforced with lavsan. It is stronger than ordinary sewing thread, elastic.
Some embroiderers use monofilament or fishing line. It is transparent and strong enough. But over time, it can collapse from light and lose strength.
Step 4
It is better to use a thread for embroidery with a length of 50 - 60 cm. A longer thread will twist and get tangled.
Pour small quantities of beads of the desired colors into a cardboard box.
If you like to embroider on the hoop, you need to stretch the fabric over the frame. You can embroider without a frame, by weight. In the process of embroidery, twist the fabric into a roller.
Step 5
Thread the needle and embroider.
It is better to start work from one corner, moving in rows up or down, as it is convenient for you.
When embroidering with beads, no knots are made at the end of the thread, just like when embroidering with a cross or satin stitch.
A stitch is made in the first cell of the drawing, then the thread is pulled twice through the bead. When the first bead is fastened, the embroidery is continued further - the thread is pulled through the hole in the bead from corner to corner of the pattern cell. According to the principle of a half-cross.
Secure the end of the thread by pulling it twice through the hole in the beads.
To get your work going faster, set a goal to embroider 5 or 10 rows a day and try to complete the task.
Step 6
Bead embroidery takes a lot of patience and time. You can't rush here. Hurry can cause the thread to get tangled or beads to fall apart.
Accuracy is the main rule. The beads should fit into the canvas without distortions and shifts.
Step 7
The result should be pleasing to the eye.
You can decorate the finished embroidery in a baguette workshop, or you can do it yourself.
