Tench is a fairly common fish and is found in lakes, rivers and reservoirs, where there are silted and overgrown areas of the bottom. Some specimens can reach 45-50 cm in length and 3 kg in weight, but, more often representatives of this breed are 30 -35 cm in size. Its body is awkward and covered with a thick layer of mucus and small scales. It is rather unpretentious to food and is even bred in artificial reservoirs and ponds.

Instructions

Step 1

Under natural conditions, tench, which feeds on small crustaceans, larvae and worms, is found in silted areas of the bottom, where the thickness of the bottom layer of silt does not exceed half a meter, and its depth is 1-2 meters. The tench is found almost in shallow water. The optimal conditions for it will be thickets of reeds or cattails, which are home to many small insects, and a small layer of silt on the border with aquatic vegetation.

Step 2

Tench fishing begins from the moment the water warms in mid-spring to the end of summer. If the autumn was warm, then it will be possible to catch it in October. The behavior of tench varies in each body of water, but usually the morning bite starts at sunrise and lasts until 8-9 am. After that, the fish goes into the depths to return to the shore again at the evening dawn, at 7 o'clock.

Step 3

Experienced fishermen begin to feed the cautious tench of the day 2-3 before the start of fishing. For bait and then bait, use regular bream or carp bait, but add chopped earthworms to it. A special treat for tench will be cottage cheese, it is better to use slightly sour.

Step 4

Use bottom and float gear to catch tench. With float gear, choose places close to aquatic vegetation, shallow. Put the bait on the bottom, because the line reacts less actively to the one hanging in the water layer. If you are using bottom gear with a feeder, then check the density of the silt at the bottom. It so happens that under the weight of the feeder, the bait also sinks into the silt. Of course, in this case, you will not wait for a bite. Use a regular mono line 0.35 mm thick, and for leads - 0.3 mm, it dampens fish shocks more effectively than braided lines.

Step 5

Strike the fish sharply and strongly so that the sting of the hook sinks deeper into the lips of the tench. His bite is sluggish and he eats the nozzle gradually, drives it. Sometimes, large fish completely swallow the entire bait and go deeper with the float. With such a bite, the hooking almost always ends with a catch.
