  • - a needle;

  • - pattern of trousers and blouses;
  • - graph paper;
  • - pencil;
  • - ruler.

Instructions

Step 1

Start making a suit by building a pattern. Choose a suitable pattern of trousers and transfer it to graph paper. If there is no such pattern, open wide trousers in moderation and circle them, removing allowances. Do not translate the grooves. The trousers will have an elastic band, so they should be wider. Find the line of the thighs on the front and back halves and extend it beyond the side slices by 4-8 on the front half. In the same way, increase the back half by 5-10 cm. Connect the obtained points with a smooth line with the points of intersection of the waist line and the bottom line.

Step 2

If the fabric is completely transparent, you need to make a pattern for the upper part. This part can be either internal, in the form of a lining, or external. Trace the top of the pattern as you would cut short shorts and cut out the pattern. If you have thick panties or cycling pants that match the color, harem pants can be sewn without lining at all.

Step 3

For a bodice pattern, take the pattern of any blouse, preferably with a large neckline. Transfer it to graph paper and shorten it to the desired length. The bodice can be very short and end about 5-7 cm below the beginning of the armhole. You can make it more authentic. The baby's bodice is completely straight, so you don't need to invent any undercuts. Increase the armhole by 2-3 cm from the front and back. Cut out a pattern.

Step 4

Fold the fabric for harem pants in half with the right side inward. It can be double-sided, in this case it is absolutely all the same how to cut it. Thin nylon, gas, parachute silk will do. For a New Year's party, even gauze in several layers will do if you paint it. Circle the details, not forgetting the seam and hem allowances for the bottom and top. Since the harem pants will be with an elastic band, it is necessary to leave five centimeters on the drawstring. Drawstrings should be at the waist and on both legs. Similarly, cut out short pants from a denser fabric. The bottom of them can be hemmed immediately, bending twice at 0.3-0.5 cm.

Step 5

Finish the seams depending on the fabric. It is better to cut synthetics with a soldering iron, but even in this case, the sections must be swept, otherwise they will scratch the legs. Overlock or overcast by hand.

Step 6

Baste the front of the trousers and lining by matching the top cut, crotch and side seam. Sweep the back parts in the same way. The front of the lining is in contact with the wrong side of the main part. If you make a short layer on top, then the front part touches the wrong side.

Step 7

Align the side seams of the front and back halves by folding the right sides together. Sweep and stitch the parts, then do the same for the second pair. Align the cuts of the crotch seams and sew too. You have got two halves of the trousers. It remains to connect them. Turn one half inside out. Insert the second one into it, turned out to the front side. Align the cuts, sweep and grind. Turn the harem pants right out.

Step 8

Make the top drawstring. To do this, fold the top cut twice 2.5 cm and stitch, leaving a hole for the elastic. Overcast the edges of the hole. Bend the legs in the same way. Insert rubber bands. You can decorate harem pants with embroidery, braid, beads on the bottom.

Step 9

Cut a bodice out of thick fabric. He has only 2 parts, front and back. Fold the fabric in half, align the middle of the front and back with the fold and circle. Make allowances. At the bottom, add 3 cm for the hem.

Step 10

Fold the parts right sides together, align the side and shoulder seams. Sweep and sew them. Treat the neckline and armholes with a bias tape. The bodice can be trimmed with a fringe, decorated with embroidery or applique.

Step 11

The chador will be successfully replaced by a large transparent scarf. You can also make it from the same fabric as harem pants. Cut out a square and overlock the edges. A wide silk scarf or headscarf can be used as a belt. The belt can be made of the same fabric as the bodice.

Step 12

An oriental costume for a boy requires much less trouble. Your Aladdin or Sinbad the Sailor needs a white shirt, vest, harem pants and a hat. Sew the harem pants according to the pattern of the trousers, slightly increasing it and removing the undercuts. They can be made from fine wool, velvet, or even plain cotton fabric. The making of the trousers is the same as for the girl's costume, only the lining is not needed.

Step 13

Make a vest pattern according to the shirt template. Unlike the girlish one, it consists of two parts for the front and one part for the back. Make a V-neck and enlarge the armholes slightly. The vest is not fastened, therefore it is necessary to make trimmed sides. They are made according to the same front pattern. Draw a line around the middle of the front and the front of the neckline. Having stepped back about 4 cm, draw parallel lines to all lines.

Step 14

Baste and stitch side and shoulder seams. Align the front part and the trimmer with the front sides, baste it and stitch it in. Cut the corners. Press the seam. Sew the second bead in the same way. Finish the back of the neckline by sewing a tape on it. Hem the bottom. Treat the armholes with a bias tape. You can sew strips of fur along the armholes and perimeter of the vest.

Step 15

A hat made of the same fabric as a vest can complement an oriental costume for a boy. But you can also make a turban. This requires a silk scarf. You do not need to specially sew it. The belt can be made of velvet. It's just a long strip sewn in half. A tight kerchief or a plain silk scarf will do.
