Belt. Sewing a belt is easy enough. Usually it is made in the form of a wide flat strip. In dance, the belt is of great importance: thanks to its decoration (fringe, sequins), it visually increases the range of motion of the hips relative to the motionless upper body. Both the belt and the bodice should be trimmed only with a strong silk thread or thin fishing line, since while moving in a dance, beads or bugles can cut a weak thread.
Step 3
Skirt. The fabric for the skirt can be satin, chiffon, organza. Sometimes stretch is also used. The classic cut of a skirt for an oriental costume is a cut with 2 suns at the back and ½ suns at the front. The skirts are not sewn together with this model. Pay attention to the length of the skirt. Do not make it too long - it will interfere with the dance. Keep it slightly above the ankle. It is desirable that the belt and skirt are fastened, for example, with buttons or Velcro. This will help the belt "not run away" in motion.
Step 4
This is how an oriental costume is made simply. Of course, you can add various accessories and other elements of the costume to it.
