As Easter approached, it was decided to make a holiday towel with Easter motives. A photocopier of children's coloring with Easter motives: rabbits, chickens, eggs was made on a sheet of thermal paper. This is a way for the child to see the results of the coloring work and show him how to put the drawing into practice.

It is necessary

  • 1. A piece of white cloth 70 * 35 cm
  • 2. Wax pencils
  • 3. Felt pens and markers
  • 4. Coloring and thermal paper
  • 5. Acrylic paints
  • 6. Stencil
  • 7. Foam sponge
  • 8. Brush

Instructions

Step 1

Manually with wax (oil) pencils we paint large parts of the drawing (chickens, basket, rabbits), with felt-tip pens - small details (beaks, tips of wings and tail), and with a green marker - grass, since only the marker has the lightest emerald color of grass., with wax crayons, all greens are very dark or scratch and tear the thermal paper.

The advantage of wax crayons is that the color does not smudge or turn dirty yellow, as opposed to drawing with felt-tip pens and markers.

Step 2

Now we need to transfer the drawing from thermal paper to fabric. To do this, place the newspapers, place the pattern face down on the fabric and iron it in Cotton mode until the pattern adheres completely to the fabric. Do not immediately remove the paper from the stuck drawing, but wait until it cools down, otherwise the drawing will lag behind the fabric. As you can see in the photo, I was in a hurry and therefore the piece of grass remained on the thermal paper.

Step 3

Now it's the stencil's turn. Since the drawing is made in orange-green tones, the pattern will be kept in the same colors. We make a printout of two stencils and glue it with tape on both sides. In the first stencil, we cut out flowers and berries with nail scissors, in the second - leaves and one flower, which will serve as a guide, so we will then glue it with tape on both sides.

Step 4

We apply the first stencil, and apply acrylic orange paint on the foam rubber sponge with a brush (to save paint) and then run the sponge over the stencil.

Step 5

We apply the second stencil with leaves so that the top flower of the stencil matches the sheet on the fabric. Similarly, apply acrylic green paint over the stencil with a sponge.

Step 6

When the ornament dries up, finally fix the acrylic paint on the towel with an iron in the Cotton mode - and the towel is ready!
