For a celebration on the occasion of the birth of a child or a new family, it is customary to give practical gifts - things that will be needed on the farm or when caring for a baby. How can you play with such an "ordinary" gift? Of course, in the original packaging! Without a doubt, the heroes of the occasion will genuinely admire even a simple set of towels if they receive it in the form of an appetizing dessert decorated with roses or cherries. And the filling of such a cake can be made an exquisite set of accessories for taking a bath or other useful gizmos.

It is necessary

  • - terry towels;
  • - flat dish or tray;
  • - decorative ribbons and other decoration elements.

Instructions

Step 1

To make a towel cake gift, purchase several different types of towels and two or three matching colors. The more there are, the more tiers the "cake" will have. It is good if they are of "edible" colors - pastel, cream, chocolate, white. In addition to towels, other useful things can be used to prepare this "delicacy": perfumery, cosmetics, figured soap, candles, soft toys, natural or artificial flowers. For a newborn, use also as a filling, disposable diapers, pretty diapers or baby clothes by rolling them into rolls.

Step 2

Get a nice flat dish or tray on which to place the "cake." Make its first tier out of large towels. Fold each one in several folds to get a strip that is suitable for the first tier (approx. 20-25 cm). Roll these strips into tight rolls and tie them with a thin elastic band in the middle. Place the rolls vertically on a round tier tray.

Step 3

From smaller towels, roll up the rolls for the second tier and also grab them with an elastic band. Place these towels on the first tier. If that's enough, add the third tier of "cake". By the way, in addition to towels, you can use other household textiles (pillowcases, tablecloths) or replace some of the terry towels with paper packages.

Step 4

Now design the cake to your liking. Tie the towels that make up the tiers with decorative ribbon (satin, nylon or paper), masking the elastic bands on the rolls. Rosettes can be rolled up from small thin towels and secured with double-sided tape at the base. Place other gift items nicely between the towels. Decorate the tiers with flowers, and you can place a beautiful toy on top. Try to secure all the elements well so that the "cake" does not fall apart.
