Do you want to surprise and even scare everyone with a strange and a little scary costume for New Year or Halloween? We suggest you create a completely original costume by making a real mummy with your own hands. This does not require too expensive materials - unnecessary things that can always be found at home are quite suitable. You also need a volunteer who will allow you to experiment on yourself.

It is necessary

  • - sheet or bandage;
  • - synthetic threads;
  • - baby powder.

Instructions

Step 1

First, find the clothes from which you will create your mummy. These should be light, monochromatic things that you do not mind tearing. For example, an old shabby sheet is fine. If the sheet is too white, you can soak it in a bucket of regular tea. Then, after a while, it will acquire a color similar to the color of the windings of real mummies. Another option is to make a bandage mummy. However, an elastic bandage will look best on the body, which in color also most resembles the "body" of a mummy. Soak a regular bandage in the same way in a tea solution.

Step 2

Call a friend for help - it's a little inconvenient to wrap yourself in rags and bandages on your own, besides, together you can come up with even more creative little things in order to complete the mummy completely.

Step 3

We wrap the body completely, leaving only the "vital organs" open - nose, mouth, eyes. Make sure that it is comfortable to move in the suit, because with too much wrapping, you can make a completely "stationary" mummy.

Step 4

After wrapping, you can make several hanging lines from a bandage or rags on the body of the mummy - as you know, mummies were very ancient, and, therefore, worn.

Step 5

To give special veracity to the image, you can use synthetic threads, from which cobwebs can be attached in some places of the mummy's body, so that it seems that our mummy has just crawled out of the most creepy places.

Step 6

When creating a mummy, accuracy is important only in wrapping the body so that there are no missing spots. Everything else can be done even a little carelessly.

Step 7

Sprinkle some baby powder on the areas that remained free of fabric - the skin around the mouth, eyes, perhaps fingers, which will create the effect of integrity to your suit.

Step 8

There are no special wishes for the mummy's shoes - be guided by the situation. But ideally, the mummy, of course, should "walk" barefoot. That's it, your "scary" costume is completely ready! You can happily scare everyone around you.
