These felt cakes look funny and can be great little gifts for family and friends.
In order to sew felt cakes with your own hands, you will need thin felt of different colors (white, brown, pink, purple, beige, etc.), multi-colored beads and beads for decoration, colored threads, a needle, scissors, stuffing material (cotton wool, holofiber, scraps of fabric left over from sewing, foam rubber, etc.).
We sew a triangular cake
1. Make a pattern for the cake. If you are making a traditional cake that looks like a slice of cake, note that the pattern of the side of the cake should be the same length as the perimeter of the top piece (triangle). The height of the side detail can be arbitrary.
2. Sew the base of the cake with three pieces (two triangles and a long rectangle) and stuff it more tightly.
3. Decorate the cake with narrow felt strips to mimic the cream between the cakes, decorative sprinkles on top. You can also make a simple "rose" on top by cutting out a couple of small circles of felt and pulling them together on top with several stitches, imitating a half-opened bud of an unknown flower.
Helpful advice: cakes of a different shape (rectangular, round) are sewn in the same way, only instead of a triangle for the base, a rectangle or a circle is cut out, respectively. The roll is very similar to a round cake, but turned on its side (so that it stands level on the table, the side oval is slightly cut off).
This cake, if small, is perfect as a keychain or cell phone pendant.
