A decorative panel refers to those elements of interior decoration, which are often easier and more pleasant to make with your own hands. Interesting panels can be made of leather, buttons, salt dough, natural materials. A rather original panel can be made from dry plants.

It is necessary

  • - dry bamboo;
  • - epoxy adhesive;
  • - leather cord;
  • - burlap;
  • - threads;
  • - dried plants.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the details for the frame on which the panel will be mounted. To do this, cut a bamboo trunk with a diameter of two to three centimeters into four pieces. Two of these lines will be the top and bottom of the frame, the other two will be the side pieces. The size of the frame should be slightly larger than the size of the panel itself.

Step 2

Assemble a rectangular or square frame from the resulting bamboo slats. Connect the ends of the slats crosswise and wrap with a leather cord. To make the connection more durable, cut out the grooves at both ends of each strip, coat them with epoxy glue, insert the strips into the grooves and wrap the joints with a leather cord. Leave the frame to dry overnight.

Step 3

Prepare the fabric base for the panel. To do this, cut out a rectangle from burlap or any other unpainted fabric of a rough texture. Hem down the edges of the rectangle or overcast.

Step 4

When the frame is dry, secure the fabric base to it using thread or a thin cord of a bright color. Thread the cord through the fabric, throw it over the edge of the frame, and then thread it back through the fabric. When securing the base, make sure that the fabric is evenly stretched over the frame. If you are going to use brightly colored plants in your composition, use a neutral-colored cord to fasten the fabric.

Step 5

Arrange the details of the composition on the fabric in the order in which they will appear in the final composition. You can use dry herbs, small twigs with berries, dried flowers, medium-sized dried roses. In some compositions, tightly tied bundles of straight straws painted in golden spray paint look good. Using threads the same color as the base fabric, attach each plant to the fabric at the bottom and top of the stem.

Step 6

The finished panel can be hung on the wall. Thanks to the bamboo frame, the panel will turn out to be quite light, so a cord tied to the edges of the upper part of the frame will be enough for fastening.
