Big eyes are the main attraction of anime characters. Children, women and men in Japanese cartoons are distinguished by wide-open, bright and slightly surprised eyes. It is not difficult to learn how to draw them - just a few lessons are enough for this.
It is necessary
- - drawing paper;
- - the pencils;
- - eraser;
- - brushes;
- - paints.
Instructions
Step 1
First, try to depict the eyes that are common to most female characters. Put a point on the sheet and draw two straight lines up from it. The greater the distance between the lines, the larger the eye will be. Draw the lines very thinly.
Step 2
In the upper third of the resulting triangle, draw a steeply curved arc with a slight break, in which the pressure of the pencil increases. This line will be the top contour of the eye. In the lower third, draw the second path as a line with a bend in the right corner. Make sure the eye size suits you.
Step 3
Erase the auxiliary lines, trace the contours of the eye with a soft pencil. On the left, the lines should be thinner, on the right, more bold. Draw a vertical oval inside the eye - the iris. Part of it should be hidden by the upper eyelid - this gives the eyes a liveliness and expression characteristic of anime characters.
Step 4
Draw a smaller oval inside the iris. Place a highlight on top of it. The eyes of anime heroines should be bright and sparkling, so make the highlight large, half covering the pupil. Consider the direction of the light - for example, if, according to your idea, it falls from the left, the highlights should also be located on the left side of the eye.
Step 5
Paint over the pupil and shade the iris, leaving the highlights white. Circle the upper eyelid, marking a small crease above it. Draw the lashes in the form of sharp, short "peaks". Three eyelashes at the outer edge of the upper eyelid are enough. Draw a thin and short eyebrow in a straight arc above the eye.
Step 6
If you want to draw a pair of eyes, act in sync. Make two blanks, draw the eyelids, irises, pupils and highlights at the same time. Otherwise, you will not be able to achieve the symmetry of the picture.
Step 7
The pencil sketch can be colored with acrylics, oils, or watercolors. Dilute the paint of the desired tone and cover the iris with it. Choose a bright and pure color - emerald green, amber yellow, blue, or purple. On a thin brush, take some white and place light reflections. Lastly, outline the eye and lashes with a black outline and blacken the pupils.
