Asters are decorative, herbaceous plants with beautiful inflorescences. This flower belongs to the family of Asteraceae or Compositae. Mongolia, Korea and the Far East are considered the homeland of asters. Garden asters delight with the beauty of flowers, a variety of colors of inflorescences, and also unpretentiousness.
Instructions
Step 1
Aster grows well in soil if the soil is well fertilized with humus and moistened. In early April, we sow seeds in grooves in boxes for seating, sprinkle with light soil with humus, water with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and cover with foil until shoots appear (about 4-6 days). Then we remove the film and put the seedlings in a bright, warm place.
Step 2
After the first leaves appear, the seedlings must be transplanted into larger boxes, at a distance of no more than 8 cm from each other. At the end of May, we transplant ready-made seedlings with strengthened rhizomes to a garden bed, at a distance of at least 30 cm from each other, and provide the plants with timely watering.
Step 3
Three weeks after planting the aster, it is necessary to fertilize with the help of special complex fertilizers. Then we feed the asters with fertilizers only once every two months.
