Among the obligatory set of hippie things, original belts are sure to be present. This belt can be made from old jeans.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to draw a pattern for our belt on paper. Draw a rectangle with a length approximately equal to the circumference of your waist and a width of about 12 cm. The ends of the rectangle are evenly narrowed on both sides to about 4 cm. Transfer to denim and cut out.
Step 2
Cut out a long strip of colored fabric, fold it in half and iron it. We attach it to the denim blank. You do not need to bend it. Thus, the fringe will make the look more extravagant.
Step 3
Next, we cut out the ties for the belt from the same colored fabric. Sew it with the front side inward, turn it inside out, iron it out and attach it to the belt. The ties should be long enough to tie the bow later.
Step 4
Now we need to sew everything on a sewing machine. Use colored thread and decorative stitches to accentuate the hippie look. Our belt is ready!
