Often in closets or pantries you come across things that are a pity to throw out, but they have not yet been used. Make designer rugs out of them. It can be a fluffy product made from small pieces, or knitted from jersey.
Fluffy rug
Even completely worn-out things are suitable for such a product. Throw out the rubbed parts, and also cut the whole ones into strips 2 wide and 10 cm long. Then you can attach them to burlap or a building net.
For the first method, you will need a piece of burlap the size you want the rug to be. Fold the edges of the burlap to the wrong side, secure them with shreds as follows. Starting from the corner, using a crochet hook or tweezers, thread the tip of the flap from the front into the hole between the burlap weave. Pull it through the wrong side, take it out from the front, 1 cm from the first tip. Tie these strips in one knot.
Attach the next one almost close to this flap. Remember to roll the edges of the burlap to the wrong side. When you cover its entire surface with such stripes, it means that the rug from old things is ready.
For the second design method, you will need a building mesh. It is sold in hardware stores and markets. Its cells are even larger than those of burlap, so it will be easier to thread through, and the mesh holds its shape better. Decorate it all with the same patches and you can admire the finished beautiful rug made from old things.
Knitwear needlework
If you have unwanted knitwear, they will make an amazing doormat. Make the first one according to the principle of weaving braids, knit the second with a large crochet.
The principle of preparing the threads for both products is the same. You can use a T-shirt. Put it on the work table, start cutting a long strip from the bottom, stepping back 1, 5 cm from it. Thus, across, cut the entire T-shirt. If one strip does not work out, continue to cut the ribbons, twisting them into a ball, sew their ends or tie them.
Cut the jersey of a different color in the same way. If there is a third, get her thread the same way. Now you need to weave a braid from three balls and twist it into a separate ball. When you have done this, start sewing from the center of the rug.
Fold 3 strands of "braids", their length is equal to the length of the future rug. Join these 3 stripes with a zigzag seam. Further, folding the "pigtail" in a spiral, connect them all, attaching to each other in a zigzag manner. The designer rug is ready.
The second product is even easier to create. After you have cut the strip, made a skein out of it, take a large hook. Cast on 5 loops on it, connect the fifth with the first and knit the rug in a circle. If there are threads of a different color, weave them, then you get a beautiful motley rug.
