Original embroidery can decorate your wardrobe items, accessories, as well as home furnishings. An example of such decorative embroidery is puffs, thanks to which you can create unusual finishing of interior textiles, as well as handbags and smart clothes. It is not difficult to learn how to embroider curly folds-puffs on fabric - any fabric is suitable for this, and you also need a thread and a needle.
Instructions
Step 1
For a neat puff, create a pattern of parallel rows of equidistant dots, which you want to transfer to the wrong side of the fabric. Place the rows of dots parallel to the share and weft threads of the selected fabric so that the finished folds are neat and even.
Step 2
Choose a strong thread and begin to type puffs on it, sticking in a needle so that the dot applied to the wrong side of the fabric is in the middle. Pull the thread tight, creating a fold, then make another puncture under the first point, and knot the ends of the thread.
Step 3
Form equal puffs by pulling the dots with a thread and a needle along the zigzag line. After finishing the first row, move on to the zigzag stitch of the second row. Having completely stitched all the designated points, turn the product over to the front side - you will see that beautiful cross folds have appeared on the fabric.
Step 4
If you are going to embroider a product using the puff technique, take the fabric with a margin, since in this technique the consumption of fabric increases with the number of folds and gathers created.
Step 5
Use a simple pencil or crayon to draw traces of the dot markings, as well as embroidery guidelines on the back side, so that they can be easily removed later. You can decorate the puffs on the front side with rhinestones, beads or beads.
Step 6
You can embroider puffs according to different patterns - wave, zigzag, flowers, curving lines, and many other patterns.
