Fans of a foamy drink in the summer can visit several beer festivals, which are always fun and on a grand scale. Such holidays are arranged almost throughout Europe, resort islands are also no exception. Malta is famous for its beers, which you must try at the Farsons Festival.
The Malta Beer Festival is held annually, usually from July 24th to August 3rd. The festival takes place in the coastal park in the town of Ta-Shbis, the Village of Craftsmen and in the national park. Trays with beer of not only local but also foreign brands are brought to these places. The brewery in Malta is produced by the Farsons brewery, which is the only local brewery of this type.
The festival begins at exactly eight o'clock in the evening. The festival is attended by professional DJs, a disco and many different shows. The festival is richly presented with a variety of national food and, of course, a foamy drink is poured in generous rivers. Beer in Malta is bottled only in 0, 3 and 0, 5 liter bottles and cans, larger containers cannot be found.
The entrance to the carnival and the parking lot are always free. Festival participants and guests can taste the best beers in special built-in bars. Local light beer Cisk has won two honorary awards - a gold medal in the European Pilsner category and a gold medal in the Best Foreign Beer category at the Ohio World Beer Championships in the United States and Australia.
Local beer brands such as Blue Label Ale, Cisk Excel, Cisk Export, Cisk Lager, Cisk XS, Hopleaf Extra, Hopleaf Pale Ale and Lager'n'Lime are always popular at the festival. In addition to national drinks, there is always a selection of world famous Beck's and Corona, Budweiser, Carlsberg, Guinness, John Smith's and Kilkenny sorts at the festival.
The Maltese Festival always attracts both local and foreign stars, rock bands and dance groups. The restaurants and cozy bars serve not only local but also Indian, Turkish, Italian, Mexican and Chinese dishes.
Malta is famous not only for the Farsons beer festival, but also for local attractions that you should definitely see. These include the Cathedral of St. John, which has many beautiful frescoes inside. In the treasury of the church, beautiful carpets and paintings can be seen. Don't forget about the National Museum of Archeology.
