The task of making a pirate costume for any fancy-dress holiday seems difficult only at first glance. First, decide which of the images suits you best: a sea wolf-robber or a noble corsair.

It is necessary

T-shirt and marker or striped vest, trousers, vest, large buttons, wide belt, banadana shawl, toy pistols, the rest depends on your imagination

Instructions

Step 1

A vest looks best on a pirate. If there is none, we use any striped jacket, cutting off the throat and sleeves from it, or we make stripes on a simple plain T-shirt with a permanent marker. For reliability, the vest can be torn and stained here and there. A shirt with a large collar is suitable for a corsair - an apache or a frill (we make a collar from any light or lace fabric and wear it on top).

Step 2

We select any old pants that need to be cut and made breeches out of them. It is not necessary to hem them, but on the contrary to create a ragged effect. For a noble corsair, ordinary classic trousers are also suitable, which do not require alteration.

Step 3

We put on a vest over the vest. It can be made from an old jacket (cut off the sleeves, shorten the length, make a cut in the front) or process the old ready-made one. Sew a piping in a contrasting color around the edges, decorate with golden buttons, clips and matching brooches. A corsair is more suitable for a long cloak, which can be made in 10 minutes: cut out a piece of fabric in the shape of a trapezoid of the required size, process the edges, sew two braids to the narrow edge.

Step 4

We put on the head either a scarf in the form of a bandana, or a cocked hat made of cardboard (glue three pieces of cardboard in the shape of a boat together and paint). We glue or draw a pirate emblem on the headdress.

We supplement the costume with suitable accessories: a wide belt or sash, an earring on the ear, toy pistols and knives, a black eye patch, gloves (leggings can be made of cardboard folded in a cone). We draw a mustache, a beard. Everything! The pirate is ready!
