Caring for embroidered works is extremely simple, but you need to be extremely careful not to spoil the work of many hours.

Helpful hint: choose special threads for embroidery (traditionally a floss is recommended) so that after the first wash the work does not fade.

After finishing work on an embroidered picture or panel (it does not matter whether they are embroidered with satin stitch or with a cross), it is not inserted into the frame immediately. Usually, work on a painting lasts more than one day, so you should expect that it is dusty, therefore it needs to be washed, ironed.

Wash the embroidery in cold or cool water with the most mild detergent (if you want to use powder, please note that it has an indication that it is intended for delicate washing, colored items). Wash the embroidered garment by hand, without significant mechanical stress. In the same way, squeeze - not twisting, but blotting with a towel. It is recommended to dry the embroidery on horizontal surfaces, spreading it out without bending on a thick towel.

If the embroidery is done with only threads, you can easily iron it from the inside out. But if it has elements made of beads, beads, ribbons, you cannot iron these areas.

The embroidered picture should, if possible, be inserted into a frame under glass. Unfortunately, this cannot be done with tablecloths, but you can buy special transparent plastic napkins for the cutlery.
