Vladimir Mashkov is one of the most talented and charismatic actors in Russian cinema. In his life there were four official marriages, but he did not strive to have children with every chosen one. Back in 1985, the first wife Elena Shevchenko gave Vladimir a daughter, Maria. She is still the only child of the famous artist and director. Maria Mashkova continues the family dynasty and acts in films a lot. In addition, the young actress is raising two daughters, which means that by the age of 55 she has already made her father a grandfather twice.
Unobtrusive father
Vladimir Mashkov did not immediately come to an understanding of his real vocation. After school, he thought about the profession of a zoologist, so he entered the biological faculty of Novosibirsk University. Just a year later, his plans changed towards theater and cinema, after which Vladimir became a student at the local theater school. Within the walls of this educational institution, he met his first wife Elena Shevchenko, who also comprehended the basics of acting. The student romance ended in marriage and the birth of a common daughter, Maria.
Mashkov's only daughter was born on April 19, 1985, and the young father at that time was only 21 years old. It is not surprising that his own ambitions were more important to him than raising a child. In search of fame, Vladimir went to Moscow. Soon his wife followed him, leaving the little daughter in the care of her parents. But this did not save the relationship of the young spouses. They divorced when Maria was two years old.
Then Mashkov and his ex-wife arranged their lives in the capital separately. Meanwhile, their daughter lived with her grandparents until she was 10 years old, and sometimes she came to visit her mother. Elena Shevchenko remarried, gave birth to two sons, after which she took Masha to her for good. Vladimir rarely appeared in the girl's life, but in those rare meetings he invariably delighted her with luxurious gifts and things brought from business trips abroad.
Mashkov does not hide the fact that he is not interested in raising children, so he took little part in his daughter's life. Even at the parent meeting at school I was only once. And when Maria got older, she took the initiative to communicate with her father into her own hands. Over time, the girl resigned herself to the peculiarities of his character, although at first she was offended that Vladimir did not always answer her calls and was busy, first of all, with himself.
The actor himself calls himself an "unobtrusive father." Even when Masha decided to continue the acting dynasty, he took a neutral position, not supporting, but not dissuading her from this step. Moreover, Mashkov found out about the choice of his daughter when she already entered the theater institute on her own, keeping silent about the famous father before the selection committee.
But Maria recalls with gratitude how her dad gave her material support in a difficult situation. At the age of 27, she first asked him for financial help, and Mashkov had no difficulty in solving the problem of his daughter. The actor is convinced that money is little in which a father can be useful to an adult independent child.

Maria took her first steps in cinema in childhood. She starred in several films, and in the final grade of the school got the main role in the performance of the Mayakovsky theater "Builder Solness". To test her strength, the girl went through a competition at the Shchukin Theater School, although she planned to study at the Plekhanov Academy at the Faculty of Economics. However, repeating the path of her father, the daughter of Mashkov left the institute a couple of months later and switched to the acting profession.
A favorable combination of circumstances helped her return to the Shchukin school. From her student days, Maria gained experience in cinema. In particular, in 2004, her father invited her for a small role in his directorial project - the film "Dad". Soon the all-Russian fame came to the aspiring actress, which she owes to the popular TV series "Don't Be Born Beautiful". In this project, Mashkova was remembered by the audience for the role of Maria Tropinkina.
As it turned out, not only professional success, but also a meeting with her future husband awaited the girl on the set. An office romance with actor Artem Semakin in 2007 ended in marriage. For the sake of Mary, her lover left the family, where her little daughter was growing up. However, two years later, she learned that her husband did not intend to give up old habits. Upon learning of adultery, Mashkova filed for divorce. By the way, having learned about the difficult situation in her daughter's life, her famous father supported her. He advised Masha, without hesitation, to leave her husband.
Today, Mashkov's daughter recalls his words with gratitude. After all, very soon she met a new love - the musician Alexander Slobodyanik, who became her second husband. In this marriage, Maria gave birth to two daughters - Alexandra in 2010 and Stephanie in 2012. And Vladimir Mashkov is proud of his status as twice a grandfather and pampers his granddaughters with luxurious gifts.
Maria continues to act in films and not so long ago started a personal page on Instagram, where she shares archival pictures with her father and family stories with his participation.
