Flowers in hair are a fashion trend this year. They add freshness and romance to the image. These can be accessories decorated with delicate orchids, or ethnic-style hoops, like Ukrainian wreaths.
Headband with roses from satin ribbons
The bezel with fabric flowers looks very impressive and stylish. To make it you will need:
- a simple plastic hoop about 2 cm wide;
- wide satin ribbons in two contrasting shades, 3 m each;
- satin ribbon 2 cm wide;
- 2 pieces of felt to match the ribbon;
- plastic stamens and leaves;
- hot glue gun;
- scissors;
- threads and a needle.
Prepare the base for the flower headband. Glue the end of a 2 cm wide satin ribbon to one side of the rim and wrap the surface with it, while placing the turns slightly overlapping. Cut off excess material and glue the edge.
Cut 2 pieces 1x3 cm in size from felt to match the ribbon with which the rim was wrapped. Wrap the edges of the hoop with them and fix with hot glue.
Make roses. Use material in two contrasting colors, for example, red and white or yellow and blue, headbands with flowers in the same color scheme, made of ribbons of dark and light shades, look beautiful. Cut the wide tape into pieces of 30 cm each (in total, you will get 10 parts of each color).
Fold the edge of the tape at a 45-degree angle and fold it over. Secure the first petal of the bud with a couple of stitches at the bottom. Fold the tape back and wrap it around the center. Secure the petal at the bottom of the bud with two to three stitches. Continue making the rose in this manner until the ribbon runs out. Spread the center of the flower slightly. Apply a drop of glue to the finished stamens and insert them into the center of the bud.
Glue the prepared roses with hot glue to the rim or sew them tightly with threads. Arrange them as you wish. Glue artificial leaves between the flowers. Let the glue dry.
Kanzashi flower headband
This technique of making flowers came to us from Japan. To make headbands with flowers, you need:
- simple bezel;
- satin ribbons of different widths and shades;
- hot glue gun;
- half beads;
- felt;
- scissors;
- threads and a needle;
- lighter;
- tweezers.
Prepare the details for the flowers. Cut the ribbons into squares. Singe their edges so that they do not crumble during work.
Fold the square in half diagonally, and then in half again. Connect the slices and burn them with a lighter. While the edges are still hot, pinch them with your fingers. This will make a petal for a kanzashi flower. Make the rest of the petals for the flowers and leaves in the same way.
Connect several elements by folding them into a flower. Sew in the middle. Apply a drop of hot glue to the center and attach a half-bead. Cut a circle out of felt and glue the flower to it. Then put a drop of hot glue on the plastic rim and glue the prepared flower. Attach all other elements in the same way.
