Instructions

Step 1

To attach the swag, be sure to use a vertical surface; beautiful even folds will not work on the floor or on the table.

Step 2

Place the pattern on the fabric (choose the size yourself, the length and width, preferably the same size) folded in the form of a scarf. Cut out the swag marked with chalk.

Hang the trapezoidal swag on a previously prepared vertical surface (you can hook it with pins). Connect the middle of the swag with a pin to the middle of the vertical surface.

Step 3

Now hook the folds of the swag under the middle and secure them to the upper edge of the swag with pins. The distance between the folds, their size must be the same, otherwise the symmetry will disappear. The number of folds is usually 6-10 pieces.

Step 4

Sweep the folds of the swag along the more symmetrical side, starting from the middle to the outer edge.

Lay the swag on a vertical surface. In our case, on the table.

Base the swag, leaving an allowance of about 1.5 cm above the line.

Base the outer edge of the swag clearly along the mark.

Step 5

Remove the hem of the folds and the hem of the bottom outer edge. Fold the swag in half, pin it with pins.

We fix the top of the swag, folds - darts and the bottom of the swag. Mark the middle with a notch.

Step 6

Fold the dart folds with the wrong sides to each other, pin together with safety pins. Repeat this operation on both sides.

Start assembling the swag on a vertical surface.

Pin the folds with needles in two different directions to prevent the folds from collapsing.

The swag is almost ready.
