Decide what your product will be. For example, you can make a voluminous educational toy in the form of a wall or floor rug, a cube-ottoman, a book-pillow, a house. Or it can be separate toys, for example, small soft cubes, dolls or cars, soft puzzles.
Step 2
Think about what the sketch of the future toy will be and the main themes that you would like to see there. For example, it can be animals, atmospheric phenomena, trees and plants, the underwater world. You can also think over the details with which you can teach the baby not only motor skills, but also counting, orientation in time, and also teach him to distinguish between geometric shapes.
Step 3
If you decide to sew a rug, you can use a thin fleece for the upper part of its base, and a cotton fabric for the lower part. You can take a synthetic winterizer as a filler, or it can be a piece of an old tourist rug cut to the required size.
Step 4
You can use any soft material for the base of the book, but it is best to use fleece. Then sew the "pages" - it should be a double material with a sintepon layer. The "cover" is made according to the same principle, which can be made, for example, from chintz. After that, you need to sew 2 pairs of strings to the "cover", with the help of which you can turn the book into a pillow.
Step 5
When the base is ready, you can proceed to small details, for example, it can be applications or small soft toys. In this case, it is not necessary to sew them all - attach some of them to magnets, Velcro, laces, elastic bands. If the product contains flowers, fruits, berries, they can be fastened with buttons. To make it interesting for the kid to play, make as many different pockets as possible, opening which you can see and get small toys.
