The jaguar is a prominent representative of the feline family. If you have ever drawn or just carefully examined an animal belonging to this family, then you can draw a jaguar without much difficulty.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a rounded head. In its middle part, mark two almond-shaped eyes. The muzzle of an animal can be depicted as a small circle located at the bottom of the head. Connect the muzzle and inner edges of the eyes with vertical lines. Then draw a triangular nose. Under it, make a mouth in the form of a tick, the tip of which is directed towards the nose. Draw a long white mustache for the animal. Add a pair of ears to the top line of the head.
Step 2
Under the head, start drawing the front side of the jaguar's body. First sketch out the rounded outlines of the chest. Then work on two front paws, each with four fluffy toes.
Step 3
Draw the main body of the jaguar on the right side of the chest. The back should be slightly arched. The lower line of the abdomen can be either round or straight.
Step 4
Draw the hind legs of the animal. They are larger than the front legs, and their articular curves are more expressive. Draw four toes at the end of each limb. Draw a long, elongated tail.
Step 5
The jaguar is covered with thick shiny fur. The length of the coat varies slightly in different parts of the body. The longest hair is found on the belly, chest and front of the jaguar's neck.
Step 6
The basic shade of the coat ranges from deep red to sandy. The body is covered with large spots with an uneven edge. In shape, they resemble circles, squares, trapezoids. The color of the spots is darker than the main shade of the jaguar fur. Each spot is surrounded by a black or auburn border.
Step 7
On the chest, abdomen, legs and tail, the spots look more like black specks. The chest, abdomen and inner sides of the limbs are lighter in color compared to the general shade of the coat. In places, the color of these parts of the body becomes almost white.
Step 8
The jaguar's eyes are painted in a beautiful amber color. The skin around the eyes is almost black in color. On the white coat located around the mouth of the animal, a triangular nose of a dirty pink or terracotta shade stands out well. The outer side of the ears is colored black.
