Schlumbergera has been known as a houseplant for a long time. It is unpretentious and easy to cultivate, it lives longer than other popular indoor plants: 10-15 years. To make her feel comfortable in an unusual environment for herself, the conditions of detention should be as close as possible to natural, that is, natural.
Instructions
Step 1
A characteristic feature of the Decembrist is compacted shoots, consisting of branching segment segments with 2-4 teeth at the edges. The flowers are multi-tiered, elongated, similar to small fountains, they are formed at the ends of the shoots from the apical areoles. They are varied in color: from red, fuchsia and white, to salmon, lavender, red-orange, peach, yellow.
Step 2
Providing a comfortable life for a Decembrist is not so difficult, but we grow it for the sake of a unique winter bloom. And it will happen (and even more than once), if only we prepare our green pet for it. Perhaps the most important point is the temperature regime. When the Decembrist is kept in a room with a temperature of + 23 ° C and above, it rapidly increases its vegetative mass and refuses to bloom. The temperature slightly below + 17 … + 2 ° C encourages the cactus to lay buds, but only in a short day. Flower buds form most actively and regardless of the length of the day in the temperature range from + 10 ° C to + 15 ° C.
Step 3
The right formation of Schlumberger brings her threefold benefits. After it fades, some of the segments should be removed (but not cutting them off, but twisting them!). As a result of such actions, the bush will acquire a compact shape, the shoots will begin to branch more strongly, become stronger, more elastic and dense. Also, the plant will lay more buds.
Step 4
After shortening the crown, the cactus can be transplanted. A properly formed plant has a long lifespan; if over-watering, change the soil and dry the roots, stop watering and only spray the Schlumberger.
