National dances have always been of great importance in the culture of the Armenian people: each fateful battle began with warlike dances ("yarkhushta", "kochari", "berd") to raise the spirit of the soldiers, with the aim of fraternal unity and unity of the warriors.

Step 1
Gather a group of dancers. Armenian dances are basically group dances. The group can be same-sex or mixed. The tempo of Armenian dances is not the same: starting slowly, the tempo gradually increases, then decreases again.
Step 2
Before starting the dance, choose a "paragloud" - the chapter of the dance, he is, as a rule, the most vocal, stately and well-dancing man.
Step 3
Remember that the national dance in Armenia is vertical in nature: the body of the dancer is almost always in an upright position, if there are inclinations, they are performed with the whole body. Frank movements of the hips are strictly prohibited: the pelvis and hips never make separate movements.

The most widespread and favorite dance in Armenia is kochari, which means brave, brave man. In ancient times, dancing a kochari before a battle meant no less for Armenian soldiers than cleaning weapons. It was not for nothing that before the capture of the Reichstag, the Armenian soldiers danced this very dance.
Step 5
Join hands with the dancers or put your hands on each other's shoulders. The larger the person, the more impressive the dance will look.
Step 6
Form a closed circle or stand in a row and start moving in one direction (usually to the right) to the rhythm of the music. Kochari is usually performed with the accompaniment of dhol or zurna - the national Armenian percussion and wind instruments, respectively. Perform rhythmically danced steps with a sharp dynamic turn in the other direction.
Step 7
Use group lunges back and forth (narrowing the circle and widening it again). The leader must notify the dancers about the change of figures with a wave of a scarf, dagger or voice.
Step 8
Use group raising of legs and arms alternately in the dance. Use bounces and squats as well. The increasing tempo of the music will tell you when to increase the intensity of your movements. At the same time, the back should remain straight. The secret of the dance is the consistency and coherence of movements for the entire group of dancers.
