When painting still lifes with flowers, novice artists often focus on depicting bright inflorescences and forget that the same amount of effort is needed to make a vase. So that the object drawn last and with the last bit of strength does not spoil the whole picture, we hone the skill of drawing a vase for flowers.

Instructions
Step 1
With a horizontal line, mark the plane on which the vase will stand - this is the line where the horizontal plane (table) and vertical (wall) meet.
Step 2
Mark the location, size and shape of the vase. It will be enough to roughly sketch its outlines with a pencil (hardness TM or 2T). Leave room on the sheet for the shadow of the subject and for the bouquet itself. Also, with a traditional composition, it is necessary to leave "air" at the top and bottom of the space.
Step 3
Draw the vertical axis on which the vase will be built. Mentally disassemble the object into its component parts - cones, cylinders and spheres, which make up its complex shape. Using sighting, determine how these parts relate to each other in size. Use the lines to mark their height and width on the central axis.
Step 4
Construct each of the shapes at the base of the vase. To do this, draw a horizontal axis for each of them and, in accordance with the laws of perspective, mark the edges of the shapes.
Step 5
Erase all construction lines.
Step 6
Determine 2-3 colors that are basic for the vase. Make them a little lighter than necessary, and fill the surface of the drawing, leaving the glare unpainted if the vase is glossy.
Step 7
Disassemble the item into zones that are in the shade and in the light. See how the main color changes in these places (as a rule, in the shade, the color acquires a cold shade, in the light - warm, if there are no reflexes from other objects or draperies).
Step 8
Lightly blur the most prominent places of the vase and shade with a cold color in your own shadow.
Step 9
Use a thin brush to work through the details - patterns on the surface, the edge of the neck, etc.
