You can make a real Japanese costume with your own hands. A fabric with a pattern that imitates traditional Japanese patterns is best suited for its execution. You should separately purchase a contrasting strip of fabric for the belt. And then start sewing.

Instructions
Step 1
The kimono consists entirely of rectangular pieces. Therefore, cut out a large rectangle, the length of which is two desired lengths of the product (one goes to the back, the other to the front). The width of the rectangle is 72 centimeters. Mark the neckline in the middle. To do this, draw a straight line on the proposed shoulder line equal to the half-girth of the neck, and then draw a semicircle to it. Draw a rectangle in half lengthways. Cut it into 4 parts - two front shelves and two backs in which the neckline has already been taken into account.
Step 2
Cut out the sleeves. To do this, draw two rectangles 54 centimeters wide and 75 centimeters long. Cut out a collar detail (three stripes with a length equal to the length of the product and a width of 12 centimeters) and two shelves - extensions. The shelves are two rectangles with a length equal to the length of the product, and their width is 18 centimeters.
Step 3
Sew together the details of the back. Connect them to the front shelves along the shoulder seam. Then sew the extensions to the shelves.
Step 4
Now fold the sleeve piece in half and sew it to form a "tube". The edges are sewn together with a width of 54 centimeters.
Step 5
Sew the sleeves to the garment. Focus on the shoulder seam. The sleeve seam should be a continuation of the shoulder seam.
Step 6
Sew the side seams from the sleeve to the bottom of the sleeve. Now try on a kimono and fold the attachments towards the front shelves so that a V-neck is formed. Cut off excess fabric, sew over collar piece. The collar consists of three stripes sewn into one tape. Finish all edges of the garment.
Step 7
Try on the product again. It should be tied at the waist with a wide belt. Cut out a belt piece from some contrasting material.
