The vest, knitted by hand on the needles, will decorate and warm your baby. There are many different models for children. The vest can be knitted from bright plain or melange yarn, striped, with appliques or embroidery, and so on.
It is necessary
- - 2 skeins of yarn, 100 g each;
- - straight needles number 3, 5;
- - circular needles No. 3;
- - hook number 3;
- - 4 buttons to match the yarn.
Instructions
Step 1
To knit the back of the vest, cast on 86 loops on straight needles and knit with a pearl pattern (alternately 1 front and 1 purl, shifting them in each next row). After 22 cm from the typesetting row, close 4 loops 1 time on both sides of the back, and then 2 more times 2 and 2 times 1 loops in every second row (a total of 68 loops will remain).
Step 2
Having knitted 38-40 cm from the beginning of knitting, close on both sides for shoulder bevels 1 time 5 loops, then 1 time 6 and 4 loops in every second row.
Step 3
At the same time as lowering for the shoulder, close the middle 28 stitches for the neckline and knit both sides separately. To make the neckline rounded, bind off 3 loops 1 time and 2 loops 1 time in every second row.
Step 4
For the left shelf, cast on 2 loops and knit with a braid pattern (arrange 3 braids symmetrically, tied on 4 loops). At the same time, for the cape, add on both sides in every second row two loops 11 times on the left side, and on the right - 8 times 2 loops and 2 times one at a time (a total of 46 loops should be obtained). Knit the added loops with a pearl pattern.
Step 5
After 10 cm from the beginning of knitting, make the first hole for the button (make the next after 19 rows from each other). On the right side, tie the armhole and shoulder bevel like on the back (see step # 2).
Step 6
On the left side, make decreases for the V-neck in every sixth row 10 times, 2 loops. Close the last 3 loops of the shelf. Knit the right shelf of the vest symmetrically with the left one in a mirror image.
Step 7
Sew the shoulder sections of the vest. For the placket, cast along the middle of the loop on the circular needles and knit 3-4 rows with an elastic band. Now sew the side cuts. Cast on the circular needles around the edge of the armhole and knit 1 cm (3 circular rows) with an elastic band.
Step 8
Tie the lower edges of the shelves and backs with single crochet posts or with a "crustacean step" using a crochet hook. Sew on the buttons. Moisten and dry the vest in a horizontal position.
