The process of creating a Christmas tree from satin ribbons
Work should start with the manufacture of the frame. Take your prepared cardboard and draw a circle on it. Just do not do it by hand, but use a compass. In the absence of a compass, you can use some kind of round template, for example, a plate. Determine the diameter yourself. In fact, its size will determine the size of the future Christmas tree.
Then the cardboard circle should be cut and glued. You should have two wireframes. Take a satin ribbon and carefully cut it into small square pieces. Make miniature blanks from these squares. To do this, use the artichoke technique. According to this style, triangles should be collapsed from squares, and then triangles again.
Attach the resulting blanks to the frame for the Christmas tree. You need to do this one by one, and not sculpt everything at once on the frame. It is better to glue the blanks with an overlap from the bottom up. It is also recommended to alternate rows in the process. You will need a thermal gun to fix it. You need to work with such a tool very carefully. The silicone glue melts and its temperature rises rapidly. Watch the hole from which it will come out. In principle, ordinary PVA glue can also be used. But then the structure may be fragile.
Christmas tree decoration
The Christmas tree itself has already turned out for you, but without decorations it looks kind of unfinished. You can sew small flowers from prepared organza and attach them to the Christmas tree. You can decorate a New Year's souvenir using small white beads and sparkles. They should glue over the whole Christmas tree.
