This superhero is popular not only among those whose childhood was at the end of the last century, but also among modern boys. It is possible that your son will ask you to make just such a costume for the New Year. The most important part is the mask.

Step 1
The fastest Batman mask is made from balaclava. They come in several flavors, you need either one with cutouts for the eyes or a helmet with a fully open face. If you have a hat with cutouts for the eyes, you need to shorten it so that it only covers the top of the bridge of your nose. Such a hat is easy to sew by yourself, for example, from old sweatpants. Cut a piece of the leg to the desired length. The lower cut must be made straight, the upper cut rounded. It is better to sew knitwear on a machine, with a special needle for this type of fabric. Overlock or crochet the straight cut.
Step 2
Mark the places for the eyes. Make cutouts, process in any convenient way so that the edges do not crumble. The base for the mask is ready.
Step 3
Batman has long, triangular ears. They can be made from thin, stiff cardboard and covered with black cloth. Cut 2 identical isosceles triangles. The height of each should be the same as the maximum height of the cap. You can make the ears higher. Fold the triangles in half, and then straighten them again. Cut out 4 identical triangles from the black fabric along the cardboard, adding 0.5 cm to the allowances. Sew the triangles in pairs, insert cardboard into them. Sew the ears to the cap.
Step 4
Sew a half mask onto the hat so that the eye holes match. The half mask may be a slightly different color or have a different texture. A half mask can be made from fabric, paper, cardboard. Decorate it with sparkles or tinsel. Batman's hat is ready.
Step 5
If you don't have an unnecessary black hat on hand, make a mask out of paper. Cut out 3 strips. The length of one is equal to the girth of the head. The dimensions of the other two are set empirically. One strip will run from ear to ear through the crown, the second - from the forehead to the back of the head, also through the crown. The width of the stripes is 15-20 cm, it depends on the size of the head.
Step 6
Connect a long strip into a ring with glue or paper clips. From the short ones, make a frame by attaching it to the ring and fastening it at the top of the head.
Step 7
This beanie is wrapped in soft, crumpled black paper. Crumple a few sheets, then straighten them and stretch them over the frame. Do the ears in the same way as in the first model. As for the half mask with cutouts for the eyes, it is better to make it out of thin black cardboard. First, draw a half mask and cut along the contour, then glue it on the cap, and then cut out the eyes.
