If you are going to a masquerade and want to attract everyone's attention to your outfit at a minimum cost, then the best solution is to make a mask from an ordinary knitted hat. It doesn't take much effort.
It is necessary
- - an ordinary rather long knitted hat;
- - colored woolen threads;
- - thick needle for embroidery with a large eye;
- - scissors;
- - an old glove or mitten;
- - colorless nail polish.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a regular long knitted hat. You can use the old one or buy a new one at the store. These hats are inexpensive because they have the simplest knitting. Use scissors to cut the eyes, nose, and mouth. Carefully paint the holes around the edges with clear varnish to keep the knit from unraveling.
Step 2
After the varnish has dried, take colored wool threads and sew them over the edges of the eye and mouth openings. The holes for the eyes can be sheathed in one color and the mouth in another.
Step 3
Take an old glove or mitten. Use scissors to cut off the thumb section. The length of the cut-off part of the mitten (glove) should match the length of your nose. Treat the cut on this cut part with clear varnish.
Step 4
Sew the cut off part of the glove (mittens) over the nose slit.
Step 5
Take some woolen thread and make the hair for the mask. To do this, cut enough threads to the same length. Sew each "hair" onto the top of the mask. The "hair" of the finished mask can be braided, tied with bows or elastic bands, cut (if necessary).
