Every thing must look perfect, and for this it is necessary that it does not deform or distort. It is the lining that not only gives the jacket completeness, while hiding all the seams of the jacket itself, but also significantly reduces the possibility of changing the shape of the finished product itself. To properly sew the lining to the jacket, you need to carry out a number of necessary operations.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut out the details of the lining exactly according to the pattern of the jacket with a 1-3 cm allowance for the seams. All this is necessary so that there is no feeling of stiffness in movements. Connect the details of the jacket lining.
Step 2
Stitch right sides inward on the outer front edge and neckline of the lining with the inner trim of the jacket, starting from the center of the back and ending with the bottom of the garment. All this work must be done by hand, and then only sewn.
Step 3
Turn the garment over to the right side and insert the sleeve of the lining into the jacket, while remembering that the lining should be slightly larger than the sleeve of the jacket, since when the arm is bent, there will be stiffness in movement, and folds will appear on the sleeves of the finished product.
Step 4
Align the side seams of the lining and jacket. In order for them to coincide and not move, they must be chipped, then sweep the rear side allowances of the lining and base.
Step 5
Sew on with a blind hem allowance. Press the lining to create a pleated fit. Follow the same way and the bottom edges of the sleeves. Iron the finished product with steam.
Step 6
Now the finished product needs to be tried on. If you feel easy and confident in it, then everything is done correctly. Remember that by adhering to the necessary recommendations, you can do everything yourself. Nothing is impossible, there would be only desire.
