Successful decoration of the banquet helps to create a special atmosphere of solemnity and beauty. Decorating walls, ceilings, and especially tables and chairs is not always easy, but certainly a very interesting creative task. Chairs or armchairs, covered with snow-white covers and decorated with ribbons, bows, draperies, flowers, look beautiful and luxurious. However, there are also low-budget decor options for less festive occasions.
It is necessary
- - durable white cotton, linen or satin;
- - cuts of decorative flowing, well-draped fabrics;
- - satin or nylon ribbons, braid;
- - textured ropes, cords;
- - non-standard materials: natural gifts, paper, candy, etc.;
- - Balloons.
Instructions
Step 1
Sew the chair covers. First, make a mock cover from an old sheet: throw it over a chair, lay it in the shape of the back and seat, pin it with pins, then cut off the excess fabric. You can lay arbitrary folds in the back, on the back, or make a frill along the bottom of the cover, which will cover the chair legs.
Step 2
If you have achieved the desired result, remove the pins from the resulting layout and lay out its details on the main fabric from which you want to sew the covers. Open the required number of covers and sew them.
Step 3
To significantly save on fabric, you can sew a cover not for the entire chair, but only for the back. This option is acceptable if your chairs are aesthetically pleasing. Depending on the shape of the back, draw an appropriate pattern and sew the capes. A set of these covers, made of white fabric, will allow you to create a unique design for chairs for various holidays - you just have to come up with additional elements that match the event.
Step 4
Drape the backs of the chairs with a beautiful fabric (organza, chiffon, satin, velvet), leaving peculiar trains behind. Secure the fabric with suitable bows, rings, or other decorative items (flowers, paper, straw, etc.). In this design option, you can combine two fabrics that are different in color or texture, playing on their contrast.
Step 5
Decorate chairs with natural materials: interesting wreaths of natural or artificial flowers, compositions or even fruit beads, beautiful leaves, twigs, cones. Complete the decor with matching ribbons, strings, and more.
Step 6
When preparing for a small party, you can approach the design of each chair individually, if you know all the invitees and you are good friends. Based on the data on the personality of each guest, come up with a funny chair design: tie colorful ribbons, men's ties, lace, “talking” photographs or reproductions of paintings, someone's favorite flowers or sweets to the crossbars on the backs.
Step 7
Design with helium balloons. Tie one (or more) balls to the chairs using colored ribbons. You can also make interesting compositions from balloons inflated with air, but remember the precautions: do not make the balloons too large and do not place them in places where it would be easy to touch them.
Step 8
You can even decorate the legs of chairs in an interesting way. For example, pull on them specially made striped (or with any other pattern) "stockings" or wrap them with beautiful ribbons or jute twine, sisal, etc.
