Oil paints are widely used in construction. They are relatively inexpensive and also dry out fairly quickly. Most often they are used when painting walls and roofs, but it is not recommended to paint floors and ceilings with oil paint. The fact is that the oils that make up their composition do not allow air to circulate and moisture evaporate. There are two types of oil paint: liquid and thickly grated. If the first paint is almost immediately ready for use, then the second must first be diluted.
It is necessary
In order to dilute the oil paint, you will need: a container, drying oil, a long enough stick, as well as a frequent sieve
Instructions
Step 1
Place the required amount of paint in a container and add a small amount of drying oil there. Stir the paint slowly.
Step 2
Now, while stirring, continue to add drying oil until the paint reaches the thickness you need. Then stir the paint for another 5-10 minutes.
Step 3
Next, pass the paint through a fine sieve. Be careful not to leave any clots.
Such paint will lay down more evenly and spread better over the surface.
