Any craftswoman who has already mastered the technique of knitting simple products for beginners will certainly be interested in complex models, which require some experience to knit. One of these models is a sweater for a girl, which is suitable for ages 8-9 and will warm the child in cold weather. In order to knit such a sweater, you will need knitting needles, a crochet hook, and yarn of any color. The knitting density of the sweater is calculated so that 25 loops are placed in 10 cm of the fabric.
Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting a sweater from the back. Cast on 96 stitches on the needles and tie three centimeters with a 2x2 elastic band, alternating two front and two purl stitches. After tying three centimeters of elastic, close the loops, change the knitting needles to a hook and continue to knit the fabric along the upper edge of the elastic, choosing a suitable pattern.
Step 2
After knitting 23 cm from the edge of the elastic, close eight loops for the armhole on both sides, then continue to knit straight. From the starting line of the armholes, knit another 6 cm and close the center six loops to make a cut.
Step 3
Knit the two parts of the back separately, and then, when you reach a height of 40 cm, finish knitting and move to the front of the sweater. Cast on 96 loops again on the needles and knit, as described above, an elastic 3 cm wide 2x2. Close the loops and then crochet the top edge of the elastic.
Step 4
Knit 23 cm, bind off 8 loops on both sides for an armhole, then knit straight. From the beginning of the armholes, knit another 8 cm and close the middle 16 loops to form the neckline. On either side of closed 16 stitches, bind off 3 more stitches in each row and twice two stitches. Finish knitting as you did for the back when you reach a total height of 40 cm.
Step 5
To knit sleeves, cast on 48 loops on the knitting needles and knit an elastic band 3 cm wide, close the loops and then crochet, adding one loop 11 times in every second row on each side. When you reach a height of 44 cm, close the hinges.
Step 6
Gather the sweater pieces together - join them with the side seams, sew into the armholes of the sleeves, and then finish the neckline. Along the edge of the neckline, lift 90 loops onto the needles and knit with an elastic band 2 cm.
Step 7
Close the hinges. Along the edges of the resulting back cut, lift 26 loops on the needles, knit one and a half centimeters with an elastic band and close the loops. Sew on the button.
