Sometimes when fishing, when trolling while catching perch or pike perch in a plumb line, a situation arises when it is possible to release a spoon caught on the grass or snag. For this purpose, a cut-off is used - a special device that can be purchased at a fishing store or made yourself.
It is necessary
deep container with sand, paper (notebook sheet), electrical tape or tape, scissors, long nail, piece of steel wire, tin can, lead, pliers, cord or thick line about 30 meters, reel
Instructions
Step 1
Roll the paper ball by wrapping it several times around your finger in a cone shape. Secure the sharp part of the cone with electrical tape or tape, wrapping them around the paper. Using scissors, cut off the excess paper so that the base of the resulting cone is about 3 cm in diameter, and the height of the cone is approximately equal to the index finger.
Step 2
Make a hole in a container of sand and place the pound vertically in it, with the tip down the entire length, so that the edge of the cone is flush with the sand. In the center of the cone, stick the nail deeper into the sand so that the nail is firmly held in the sand, its head is above the cone, and the nail itself is located in the center of the cone.
Step 3
Bend the edge of the empty tin can with the pliers to form a spout. Place the lead in a tin can. There should be a lot of lead. Melt the lead over a fire or stove. If there is debris on top of the molten lead, gently scoop it up with a spoon. The molten lead should be smooth and clean with a thin rainbow film. Gently use the pliers to grab the edge of the jar and pour the molten lead through the spout into the prepared paper cone mold. Stop pouring when the cone is almost full.
Step 4
Wait about a minute, then use the pliers to grab the nail and remove the sand casting. Cool it in water until it cools, remove the nail with pliers and remove the paper from the casting. Then bend the wire from one edge in half, thus making a loop, the size of which should be about 5 cm. Fold the edge of the loop at a right angle so that it is located at the base of the cone and goes beyond its edge so that fishing line and swivels can pass through it, but the spoon did not pass. The short free end of the loop goes into the depth of the cone by about 3 cm, and the long one should come out of the hole in the top of the cone, its length should be at least 10 cm.
Step 5
Having retreated from the top of the cone, a distance of a little more than 3 cm, make an eyelet from the free part of the wire for tying the cord. Tie a cord to it. If everything is done correctly, the cut works as follows: with one hand you hold the lead cone, with the other you press on the eyelet to which the cord is tied, sink it into the cone until the free edge of the wire appears at the base of the cone. Start the line behind it, insert the edge of the wire back into the hole and pull it up by the eyelet until the wire loop touches the base of the cone.
