A knitted sundress is a great outfit for your baby's wardrobe. You can wear it for any reason - for a walk, on a visit, on a holiday. There are many models of sundresses - short and long, with straps of different widths. A sundress knitted of cotton is suitable for a hot day. And for a warm sundress, you can pick up woolen yarn. A sundress can be worn as an independent item or over a T-shirt, turtleneck or blouse.
It is necessary
Cotton yarn: 200 gr. - white, 30 gr. yarns of red and purple colors, buttons, knitting needles
Instructions
Step 1
For knitting a sundress, a garter knitting, a "Flowers" pattern, a front surface, a fantasy pattern, an elastic band are used.
Step 2
Back of a sundress: Cast on 98 stitches with white thread on the needles. Work 12 rows in a fancy pattern. Next, knit 6 rows with the front stitch in this way: 2 rows - with purple thread, 2 rows - with white thread, 2 rows - with red thread. In the first row of the front surface, make uniform decreases in 8 loops. There are 90 stitches left on the needles.
Continue to knit with base color. On each side, decrease in every 4th row, 1 loop. And so 14 times. There are 62 loops left on the needles.
At a height of 35-37 cm, make a clasp: close the middle 4 loops and continue to knit 2 sides separately. At the same level, close for armholes in every second row 2 times 3 loops and 2 times 2 loops.
At a height of 50 cm, bind off 8 loops on each side for the shoulder. Next, remove 11 loops for the neck on both sides for an additional knitting needle.
Step 3
Before the sundress: Cast on 98 loops on the needles. Work the first 18 rows in the same way as the first 18 rows of the back piece (12 fancy rows and 6 knit stitch rows). In the 13th row, decrease 8 loops, as on the back of the sundress.
Continue knitting with white thread, making decreases, similar to the back of a sundress.
After 10 rows from the red stripe, tie several colors. Flowers should be in the center of the front of the sundress.
Continue knitting with white thread.
Make armholes at a height of 35-37 cm. To do this, close first 4 loops, then 3 loops, 2 and 1.
At a height of 45 cm, make a neckline: close 8 loops in the center of the part. Then on both sides 4 loops, and 2 times 2 loops.
Bind off 8 shoulder loops at a height of 50 cm.
Step 4
Assembling the product: Sew the seams on the shoulders of the sundress. Cast on 62 sts (40 + 22 from auxiliary knitting needle) around the edge of the neckline. Work 2 rows of garter stitch. Close the hinges.
Tie the edges of the armholes in four rows with an elastic band. Make holes for the buttons on the placket, overcast them. Sew on the buttons.
