Smoking a cigar is a kind of art. To get real pleasure from it, you, first of all, need to find time, about 30-40 minutes, to prepare the cigar and enjoy the process. And follow a few rules.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to smoke a cigar, choose a place where you will be cozy and comfortable. Prepare a drink to pair with a cigar. It can be alcohol - cognac, brandy, rum, whiskey, strong ale, or regular coffee.
Step 2
Cut off the sealed end before lighting the cigar. Use a device called a boat for this. There are several types of boats. The most common of these are the guillotine and cigar scissors. The main requirement for them is the sharpness of the blade. Cut the cigar so that a thin ring 3 mm thick remains at the tip of the cap. Do not bite off the end of the cigar with your teeth or poke it with a knife, this will ruin it - it will lead to uneven burning or unfolding of the outer tobacco leaf.
Step 3
Light a cigar from a gas lighter, regular or special cigar match. Gasoline lighters are not suitable for lighting, as tobacco absorbs the smell of gasoline. While lighting a cigarette, bring the cigar to the flame, but do not touch the visible flame. Observe the angle of inclination to the fire 90 degrees. Slowly draw in air through the cigar and rotate it around its axis to evenly ignite all layers.
Step 4
Hold the cigar smoke in your mouth while savoring the taste. Hold for a few seconds and release it into the air. Do not inhale deeply, the smoke should not go down the throat. Puffs approximately every 30-60 seconds, the interval depends on the cigar burning rate.
Step 5
To shake off the ash from the cigar, take two long puffs, they heat the tip, wait 3-5 seconds, shake off. Ideally, there should be an orange cone on the tip of the cigar. If the ash is not shaken off after a few taps, then it is not burned out enough. You don't have to shake it off at all, but wait until the ash falls by itself, but keep the ashtray ready.
Step 6
Smoke the cigar until it tastes strong. At the end of smoking, leave it in the ashtray. The cigar should go out on its own.
