Step 1
Cut a rectangle out of the bag. This may require cutting off the handles and bottom. Try to use as much film as possible. From one of the long cuts, measure 8-10 cm for the handle. You can do this with a ruler and draw a straight line with a ballpoint pen. Mark the second long side into 1 cm wide pieces and cut with a comb, slightly not cutting to the handle.
Step 2
A pompom can be made from one package, but it will look very unpresentable. It is better to take a few more bags of the same size as the first one, mark a place for a handle on them and divide the opposite side into the same segments. Whether the bags are of the same color or different depends on why they are needed. Fans of a sports team often want a one-color pom-pom, and for an impromptu clown costume, any will do. The more bags you put together, the pom-pom will become more magnificent.
Step 3
Fold the bags neatly with all sides aligned. Roll the polyethylene into a tight, thin tube. Wrap the handle with tape. The pompom is ready, it remains only to give it the desired shape, that is, fluff it up.
Step 4
Foil pom-poms look extremely impressive. It is better to take foil with a polyethylene base. You can make pom-poms in different ways, including from packages. The foil is cut into rectangles, a place for the handle is marked, then a fringe is cut from the opposite edge. But foil is often sold in rolls, and then another method will be easier.
Step 5
Unfold the foil roll and place it on the table. Mark along one of the long sides where the handle will be. Just cut the opposite side with a fringe, and then roll the roll again and wrap the handle with tape.
Step 6
Sometimes it is necessary to attach a plastic pom pom to the suit. In this case, the strip for the pen should be very short, no more than 2 cm. Pierce the pen with an awl in four places and sew the pompom with polyester threads.
Step 7
At sports competitions, such pom-poms are very often waving by fans. It will be much more convenient if you make wooden or plastic handles. They are simply glued with tape inside a polyethylene tube.
