The structure of a gerbera flower outwardly resembles an ordinary garden chamomile. Their main differences are the correspondence of the length of the petals to the middle, the absence of leaves on the stem and all kinds of shades.
Instructions
Step 1
Start drawing with construction lines. If you are drawing standing flowers, the cups of which are directed upwards, draw a large oval, place a smaller oval in it. The first will help you draw petals of equal length, and the second will highlight the core of the flower. If you are drawing a gerbera facing you, draw two auxiliary circles.
Step 2
Draw the core of the gerbera. It consists of tiny flowers radiating from the center, the total number of them is very large. The middle flowers look like expanding tubes. In the center, they are smaller, towards the edges of the core, their size increases. They can be depicted in the form of small circles, later you will highlight their texture with color.
Step 3
Select the side petals. They are arranged in several layers around the entire perimeter of the core and outwardly resemble chamomile petals. Each of them has rounded edges and several longitudinal grooves. Please note that the length of the petals must correspond to the size of the core.
Step 4
Draw the trunk of the flower. It is rather long, sturdy and leafless.
Step 5
If you are drawing gerberas growing out of the ground, draw heavy, dense leaves. They are not attached to the stem, but grow at its base. The leaves themselves are quite large, a little like oak, but their ends are pointed, and the edges are smoother.

Erase construction lines.

Start coloring. Keep in mind that gerberas come in all possible shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, and crimson. There are no blue and blue gerberas. Note that light colors often have a dark middle and vice versa. To emphasize the structure of the petals of the core, use a thin brush, with its tip, using dipping movements, paint each small element. Draw the side petals of the gerbera with one smooth movement of the brush. Color the gerbera leaves with a juicy dark green shade, make the trunk lighter.
