Buying things on sale isn't just about saving. For real shopaholics, this is a whole science, the ability to plan, wait and come up with a shopping strategy. And although sales in Russia are often accused of cheating customers, a real discount seeker will still find the best deal.
The start of seasonal sales in Russia differs from European and American ones. Russian sales in winter start in January (at selected stores from the end of December) and last until mid-February. In summer, discounts should be taken from July to August. Some stores also carry out so-called off-season sales. During this period, you can buy items from the current collection at special prices.
Do not rush to go shopping on the first day of sales. The real savings are not 20% discounts, but at least 40-50%. And if you're lucky, you can get 70%. Yes, domestic sellers often "cheat" with prices, overstating the initial cost, and then they make a discount on it. Therefore, conduct an introductory shopping raid before the sales. In stores, take a picture of the product you are interested in with a price tag. Check with the seller if there is still a lot of this item in stock. And it happens that by the time of sales, the goods are already small or not of the required size. Immediately before your shopping trip, find out which store has the required size (this can be done by phone or on the website). Sometimes it happens that the collections of the same brand are presented in different ways in the stores of the chain.
Arriving at the store for the product that you photographed in advance, do not be too lazy to calculate the real percentage of the discount. And if it turned out that the price really became overpriced, do not be lazy to tell the seller about it and show evidence. And at the same time, ask when there will be real discounts.
But there are things that are sold out even with minimal discounts. These are children's clothes for height from 80 to 122 cm, shoes from 21 to 35 sizes; women's shoes in sizes from 37 to 39; men's - from 42 to 45. Here you have to decide for yourself whether it makes sense to wait for a fall in prices.
When shopping in stores, do not refuse offers to get a discount or savings card. This is not only an opportunity to receive discounts and bonuses. You will receive messages about promotions and discounts by e-mail or phone number. And most of all you can save on the so-called "closed sales". A personal code will be sent to your phone, by which you can get an additional discount.
Sometimes the term “private sale” is literal. At certain times, only people who have a special invitation letter can visit the store. Usually such events are held for regular customers. But ordinary buyers also have the opportunity to get into the closed sale. At the end of the season, the company can sell the old collection directly from the warehouse. You can find out about the planned sales on special sites and social networks.
