Let's continue the topic of transforming old unnecessary things into new and original ones. And today we will consider two models of simple shelf hangers from old chairs.
Ordinary wooden chairs loosen over time, their repair is often unreasonably expensive, which means they can no longer be used for their intended purpose. So, try not to throw out old chairs, but to make useful things out of them for a summer residence or a city apartment.
Towel rack from the back of an old chair
As you can see in the photo, an interesting towel rack can be made from the back of an old chair. To create such a hanger, you need to pick up a chair, the back of which has a number of transverse slats. Well, then the work is obvious - we just saw off the back from the chair, fix the lace on it with small nails or screws on the side that will adjoin the wall.
if the varnish has worn off the chair, you will have to sand the back after sawing off and cover it with new varnish or paint.
Towel rack from the legs of an old chair
Such a hanger with a shelf will be useful in the kitchen and in the bathroom, and again you don't need to have a carpenter's qualifications to create it.
To make such a hanger, it is enough to saw off a part of the seat from a wooden chair or stool in such a way that the sawn off part contains the legs. After that, we stuff a wooden rail about 3-10 cm wider than the thickness of the seat onto the cut. It is she who will serve to fasten the future shelf to the wall.
Please note that you will need to choose a solid wood chair or stool with comfortable crossbars to hang towels on.
