Tulips are a symbol of spring, although greenhouse-grown flowers are available throughout the year. This flower is good on its own, and often only tulips of one or several shades and colors are used for making bouquets. Framed by dense green leaves of an elongated shape, a bouquet of tulips looks great in a vase of any shape - round, elongated or rectangular. Therefore, if you bought beautiful, fresh flowers with a high bud, then collecting a bouquet with tulips is a matter of a couple of tens of minutes.
It is necessary
- - floral foam Oasis with tray and fixer;
- - special feeding for freshly cut buds;
- - scissors;
- - a pallet for a bouquet;
- - a container for filling the foam with water;
- - water - 2-3 l;
- - leaf of aspidistra of any width;
- - floristic or any other sharp knife;
- - tulip buds of one or different colors - 30 pcs.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a green ribbon imitating an aspidistra leaf of any width: 3, 12 or 26 cm. Using scissors, cut out leaves from it that resemble tulip leaves. Do not make the height of the leaf very large - 15 cm will be enough. Make the base of the “leaves” wide, they will frame the tulip buds along the edges of the pallet.
Step 2
Choose a large, high-sided container to fill your florist foam with water. For a standard size piaflora, you will need about 2-3 liters of water. Before pouring the water into the container, dilute the cut bud dressing powder in it. Pour out the water. Place the foam on the surface of the water and wait for a while until it is saturated with water. The "brick" of foam will turn dark green and noticeably heavier.
Step 3
Place the foam block that has absorbed water into the tray. On its bottom there are notches that allow you to fix the foam. If the shape of the foam and the pallet are different, use special florist foam holders. Attach them to the bottom of the pallet first, then attach the foam to them.
Step 4
Attach the green aspidistra leaves along the edges of the foam, securing them with corsage pins. Put each subsequent sheet on the previous one, retreating by 1-1.5 cm. It is best to use pins with white mother-of-pearl heads imitating pearls. Decorate the entire pallet this way, placing the leaves between it and the foam.
Step 5
Cut the buds in an oblique line, leaving 12-15 cm of stem and bud. The length of the stem should be such that the end does not reach the bottom of the pallet 1.5-2 cm, and the flower should rise 1-1.5 cm above the surface of the foam. Tulip buds will still grow in length in the bouquet, take this into account.
Step 6
Insert flower stems into the foam in even rows, using the honeycomb method. This is a well-known technique in floristry - a popular parallel technique. Moving from the center to the edges, gradually fill the entire surface of the floral foam with dense rows of buds. Now you can decorate the festive table with your bouquet made of tulips, but even after the holiday it will be able to delight you with its beauty for a few more days.
