Gold jewelry tends to get dirty and dirty over time. Grease and dust accumulate on the surface of jewelry made of precious metals, and constant wearing deprives them of their luster. However, this problem is easy to fix. There are many ways to purify gold. You can go to any jewelry store and hand over your earrings or rings for ultrasound cleaning, some craftsmen do it for free. But if that doesn't work for you, try cleaning your jewelry at home.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour warm water into a cup and add a few drops of ammonia to it. Dip the gold pieces into the resulting solution and leave overnight. Remove the jewelry in the morning, rinse it under the tap and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. This method is great for removing dark stains from metal, but it is not recommended to use it too often.
Step 2
Sprinkle loose powder onto a dry, soft cloth such as flannel. Use this cloth to wipe down the jewelry. Then polish the gold pieces clean. Instead of powder, you can use chalk ground into dust or baby talcum powder.
Step 3
Get a clean, soft-bristled toothbrush and any white toothpaste. Squeeze the paste onto the brush and gently, without scratching, clean the jewelry under the tap and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
